Up until just two days prior to the Elimination Chamber Pay Per View there had only been one 'normal' bout confirmed alongside the two flagship matches of the Pay Per View.
But following Smackdown a singles match pitting Alberto Del Rio against Kofi Kingston and a Tag Team championship match involving Marella & Kozlov Vs. The Corre were added to bolster the card.
Alberto Del Rio Vs. Kofi Kingston at Elimination Chamber 2011
This match doesn't really carry much importance and at this point looks like it has only been placed on the card to pad things out, and perhaps draw a line under the on/off rivalry the pair have been having for the past few weeks.
Kingston has gotten involved in Del Rio's business a few times over the last month, most memorably to save Hornswoggle after the little guy had accidentally caught The Mexican Millionaire below the belt with a piñata beating stick.
Prediction: It seems unlikely Del Rio's push would be put on hold here in order to put over Kingston, despite the fact The Ghanaian Sensation has been on the losing end of most of their encounters to date.
Santino Marella & Vladimir Kozlov (c) Vs. The Corre for the Tag Team Championships at Elimination Chamber 2011
This is also a match that has crept onto the card at the last minute just to pad out the event.
The tag champs have met Corre members Justin Gabriel and Heath Slater a couple of times, and thus far things haven't exactly gone their way.
Just days before Elimination Chamber on Smackdown the four men met with the titles on the line, only for Wade Barrett and Ezekiel Jackson to crash the party when their Corre cohorts looked like losing.
The Big Show ran in to save the champions from a certain beat-down, keeping them fresh for this re-match.
Prediction: Marella & Kozlov have been little more than a comedy double-act during their spell as champions, and although it's still hard to buy Slater and Gabriel as a legitimate threat, at least putting the titles on them would give The Corre some much needed prestige.
The Miz (c) Vs. Jerry 'The King' Lawler for the WWE Championship at Elimination Chamber 2011
Aside from the Raw and Smackdown Elimination Chamber matches the other headline bout on the card is the WWE Championship match between Jerry 'The King' Lawler and The Miz.
Lawler has a spectacular record against the current champion, only losing out to him once in at least 4 meetings, when Michael Cole prevented his announce-partner from taking the gold in a ladder match.
During his illustrious career The King has never been World Champion ore wrestled at WrestleMania, so a victory in this bout would be a much-deserved one.
However, The Miz is on an incredible title run at the minute, and despite losing to Lawler on numerous occasions, dropping the title to him might be a little too much to expect.
Unfortunately due to the passing of Lawler's mother in the week leading up to Elimination Chamber, this match hasn't had the chance to build quite as it should, but The King and Miz have shown in the past that they are able to put on an entertaining match, and that should be enough to keep the viewers interested.
Prediction: Lawler deserves to have the belt, but it's unlikely he'll be in the WrestleMania main event.
A positive solution would be for Lawler to win the title at Elimination Chamber, only to drop it back to The Miz the next night on Raw when Michael Cole interferes, setting up a match between the two announcers for WrestleMania.
